Dr. Art Deco activates his latest creation,a small, mischievous android named Robotchi, who has a television screen built into his stomach. Robotchi immediately displays a hyperactive and curious personality, exploring Dr. Deco's laboratory and interacting with the other robots in the inventor's peaceful village. The robot's antics inadvertently cause minor disruptions, showcasing his tendency for playful mischief rather than malicious intent. Kurumi, a human girl and friend to the doctor, encounters Robotchi and becomes his companion, drawn to his energetic nature. Meanwhile, the local policewoman, Sachiko, deals with the minor chaos Robotchi creates, often becoming flustered. A rival inventor, Highbrow, observes Robotchi's unique abilities from a distance, revealing his desire to capture the android for his own purposes. Highbrow, assisted by his two female subordinates, begins plotting his first scheme to separate Robotchi from Dr. Deco and Kurumi. Dr. Art Deco completes his final adjustments to Robotchi,ensuring the robot operates at peak performance. Kurumi brings Robotchi a basket of freshly picked fruit, and the two share a quiet moment in Dr. Deco’s laboratory. Highbrow launches his most ambitious scheme yet, deploying a massive magnetic crane from his airship to seize Robotchi directly from the village square. Sylvia and Nancy operate the crane controls while Highbrow monitors the operation from his command deck. Robotchi uses his extendable arms to anchor himself to the town’s water tower, resisting the pull. Sachiko arrives on the scene and fires her pistol at the crane’s cable, severing it and sending the claw crashing down. Highbrow retreats, vowing to return with an even more powerful machine. Dr. Deco gathers Robotchi, Kurumi, and Sachiko to announce that the consistent threats from Highbrow mean the village is no longer safe. He reveals plans to construct a protective barrier around the entire village, powered by Robotchi’s internal energy source. Robotchi agrees to the plan without hesitation, accepting the responsibility of becoming the village’s permanent guardian. The episode concludes with Robotchi plugging into a central terminal, activating a shimmering energy shield that encloses the town as Highbrow watches from a distance, plotting his next move.
