Description
Lee Chaolan appears in the 2011 CGI film Tekken: Blood Vengeance as a supporting character. He is depicted as a teacher at Kyoto International School, where he is known for being overzealous, eccentric, and extremely wealthy, though he is often ignored by those around him. His flamboyant personality and theatrical mannerisms are tempered by a genuine willingness to help when the situation calls for it. His catchphrase is "Excellent," which he typically delivers while giving a thumbs-up gesture. Despite his sometimes comical and narcissistic exterior, Lee is a shrewd businessman and a capable fighter, having been raised as the adopted son of Heihachi Mishima and trained alongside his foster brother Kazuya. This background gives him a deep-seated resentment toward the Mishima family, which motives much of his indirect involvement in the story. In the film, Lee provides shelter to Ling Xiaoyu and Alisa Bosconovitch when they are being pursued by the G Corporation, allowing them to hide in his gigantic mansion. He does not take an active role in the central conflict, but his resources and safe haven prove crucial for the protagonists. His mansion is partially destroyed during a fight between Anna and Nina Williams, though Lee himself does not engage in combat on screen. His relationship with Xiaoyu and Alisa is one of assistance, and he seems to enjoy being a benefactor, though his loyalty is ultimately tied to his own interests against the Mishima clan. Notable abilities include his vast wealth, technological resources, and the martial arts training he received from Heihachi and later from Paul Phoenix and Marshall Law, though these fighting skills are not demonstrated in the film.
