Description
Hakuno Kishinami in *Fate/Extra Last Encore: Illustrias Tendōsetsu* represents a distinct entity from the original *Fate/EXTRA* protagonist. He is a "Dead Face," a wraith coalesced from the accumulated regrets and hatred of countless Masters slain by Twice H. Pieceman after the Moon Holy Grail War halted and the Moon Cell's systems shut down. Trapped by the Angelica Cage, the deceased Masters' unresolved emotions manifested as Hakuno Kishinami to bear their collective grudges.

He possesses brown hair, fair skin, and wears the standard Tsukumihara Academy male uniform. As a Dead Face, his existence primarily embodies hatred toward all living things, though he retains minimal capacity for empathy, demonstrated when he attempted to save Rani VIII after she was shot.

Awakening during the Moon Holy Grail War's preliminaries with fragmented memories and innate rage against the Moon Cell's artificial paradise, he was later betrayed and repeatedly stabbed by Shinji Matou. He qualified as a Master but survived due to his undead nature. Falling into Limbo, he discovered Saber's sword, summoning her as his Servant.

His journey involved ascending the floors of SE.RA.PH., each ruled by a Floor Master. On the first floor, he confronted Shinji Matou, now a corrupt mayor who enslaved Servants. After defeating Shinji and Rider, Hakuno stated he no longer hated Shinji, signaling an initial shift in his purpose. On the second floor, facing Archer and his Master Dan Blackmore with Rani VIII's aid, Archer taunted Hakuno for lacking a true wish beyond hatred, prompting introspection.

His development intensified upon reaching the lowest floor, where he learned his true origins as a manifestation of collective hatred. This revelation nearly shattered his resolve, but Saber's loyalty steadied him. In the final battle against Twice H. Pieceman, Hakuno rejected Twice's nihilistic worldview, overcame him, and affirmed his own path despite his nature.

Beyond *Last Encore*, Hakuno Kishinami appears in *Fate/EXTELLA* as the ruler of SE.RA.PH. after winning the Grail War. To prevent the Regalia ring from being used to destroy the Moon Cell, he split into three aspects: Mind, Body, and Soul. Each aspect retained core traits—determination, empathy, and adaptability—while embodying different facets of his identity. The Mind aspect partnered with Saber (Nero), displaying courage and concern for her. The Body aspect bonded with Altera, showing compassion despite initial fear. The Soul aspect served Caster (Tamamo no Mae), balancing level-headedness with devotion.

A recurring trait across all media is his refusal to surrender hope, even when facing existential futility. This resilience defines his character, enabling him to forge bonds with Servants and allies despite his origin as a vessel of hatred.
