Description
Taishi Kuhonbutsu is an 18-year-old university student sporting green spiky bangs, blue eyes, and signature orange sunglasses, often dressed in a light brown suit or school uniform. As protagonist Kazuki Sendō's childhood friend, he plays a pivotal role in Kazuki's introduction to doujinshi during a Tokyo Big Sight visit, convincing him to form the "Brothers 2" circle despite Mizuki Takase's objections. Taishi handles the circle's logistics—registration, printing, and payments—while Kazuki creates the artwork.
A proactive otaku with chuunibyou tendencies, Taishi makes grandiose declarations about world conquest or elaborate schemes, framing everyday mishaps as part of his "great design." His personality mixes ambition, mischief, and sporadic insight, delivered with theatrical flair for comic relief. In the *Comic Party Special* OVAs, he instigates a hot-springs trip plot by attempting to infiltrate the women's bath and touching a statue resembling *To Heart*'s HMX-12 Multi. This triggers a mechanism transporting the group to ancient doujinshi-related ruins underground, showcasing his impulsive, trouble-seeking nature.
Throughout all media, including *Comic Party Revolution*, Taishi remains a consistent presence without significant development, steadfastly supporting Kazuki's doujinshi pursuits while retaining his eccentric otaku enthusiasm.
