Live-Action TV
Description
The live-action drama is set in the Kansai region of Japan, centering on two prestigious but fundamentally different girls’ schools. On one side is Takizakura Girls' Academy in Osaka, a school with a strong performing arts program where the idol club has become a successful brand. On the other is Tsubakisakuhana Girls' High School in Hyogo, a traditional prep school focused on academics with a high university admission rate. The two schools are rivals, and the conflict is personified by their respective principals daughters. Anzu Takizawa is the dedicated center of the Takizakura idol club, who is working hard with her club president Misuzu and members Toa, Rena, and Sayaka for their major debut. On the other side is Rurika Tsubaki, an honor student at Tsubakisakuhana who secretly dreams of becoming a school idol despite the pressure from her mother, the school’s principal.

The story is set in motion when Rurika and her friends Yuzuha, Yukino, Hikaru, and Maya attend a Takizakura performance. While they are inspired by the idols sparkle, they feel that such a world is far beyond their reach. However, their world is turned upside down when Anzu suddenly transfers to Tsubakisakuhana for reasons she keeps to herself. Rurika is overjoyed to meet the girl she admires, but Anzu has quit being an idol, leaving a hole in her former club that Misuzu struggles to fill. Determined, Rurika convinces her mother to approve the creation of an idol club at Tsubakisakuhana on the condition that members maintain their grades. Anzu becomes the reluctant coach, but Rurikas childhood friend Yuzuha refuses to join, creating tension within the friend group.

As the narrative unfolds, both teams face distinct challenges. At Tsubakisakuhana, the idol club forms under Anzus guidance, with the kind-hearted but stubborn Yuzuha eventually being persuaded by Yukinos earnest support and Rurikas persistence to join. Even the academically struggling Maya finds a way to balance her studies with practice. The group bonds and decides to write an original song. Meanwhile, back at Takizakura, the remaining members struggle to fill Anzus absence. Tensions rise between the strict Misuzu and the individualistic Sayaka, leading to a clash that threatens the groups future. The central conflicts are driven by a promise versus personal truth. Rurika discovers that Tsubakisakuhana is at risk of closing down, adding stakes to her idol activities. At the same time, Anzu is confronted by her former teammates, forcing her to finally face the real reasons she left her dream behind.

The drama reaches its climax when Anzu returns to Takizakura to check on her ailing mother, the schools principal, leaving the newly formed Tsubakisakuhana club adrift and demoralized. However, the Takizakura cultural festival presents a major opportunity. The school is set to host a special stage drawing large crowds and media attention, and Rurikas group is offered the chance to perform as the opening act. The final episodes focus on whether the ten girls from two rival schools can overcome their personal doubts, mend their friendships, and find something more important than the promises they made to themselves and each other, culminating in a performance that determines the future of both schools.
