Manhwa
Description
Fifteen years after her father lost his life in a war that was never her fight, Reinhardt Lincke finds herself at his funeral, listening to her betrothed, Crown Prince Michel Allanketh, coldly dissolve their engagement. Overwhelmed by grief and fury, she is granted an impossible second chance. Waking up in the past on the very day of the funeral, Reinhardt immediately acts on her vengeance, stabbing the prince in the leg without hesitation. Her violent act results in swift punishment: she is stripped of all titles and banished to Luden, a cold, isolated domain on the empires frozen outskirts that once belonged to her late mother.

Exile, however, becomes an unexpected opportunity. While traveling to Luden, Reinhardt encounters a wild, feral boy living in the forest who rescues her from danger. She recognizes him as Will Cohlonna, a figure known in her previous life as the princes mad dog—a half-barbarian and the empires most formidable weapon. In her first life, Michel had discovered the boy and molded him into a blindly loyal war hero and assassin. This time, Reinhardt intends to claim that weapon for herself. She takes him in, giving him the name Wilhelm, but the boy is no ordinary child; he is secretly the emperors illegitimate son, a fact that will later become a crucial piece on the political chessboard.

The narrative follows Reinhardts ruthless strategy to dismantle the crown princes power using Wilhelm as the cornerstone of her revenge. Yet the story grows into a complex and darkly compelling exploration of trauma and obsession. Wilhelm is not a simple tool; he carries the memories of his previous life as well, where he was deeply and possessively in love with Reinhardt. His devotion to her is absolute, obsessive, and often violent, blurring the lines between protector, weapon, and lover. As Reinhardt navigates the treacherous politics of the empire and executes her plans, she finds herself entangled with a man whose humanity is buried under layers of conditioning and whose intense loyalty threatens to consume them both. The story is noted for its morally gray characters, where the protagonist is neither a pure heroine nor the prince a simple villain, but all are victims and perpetrators trapped in cycles of pain and vengeance. The manhwa concluded its run in March 2025.
