Description
Riki Naoe lost his parents as a child and fell into deep despair until a group of friends, the self-appointed Little Busters, pulled him out of his grief by playing together with him. By the time the story begins, Riki and the others are in their second year of high school, still inseparable and enjoying their carefree school life. The manga consists of short, self-contained four-panel comic strips that focus on the daily antics, random missions, and comedic interactions among the Little Busters and the friends they later recruit. The core group includes the energetic leader Kyousuke Natsume, his cat-loving sister Rin, the muscle-obsessed Masato Inohara, the stoic Kengo Miyazawa, and later members such as the childish Komari Kamikita, the athletic Yuiko Kurugaya, the timid Mio Nishizono, the chaotic Haruka Saigusa, and the half-Russian Kudryavka Noumi. The humor stems from their contrasting personalities, absurd school-life situations, and the eccentric missions Kyousuke dreams up. While the manga does not follow a continuous dramatic storyline, it does include notable special chapters: the final volume features the touching story of how the Little Busters originally formed, alongside bonus episodes such as Kud's lunch box operation and a piece told from the perspective of her dog Strelka.
