Kujira Okuzono is a former yakuza who harbors an intense, heartfelt love for the romantic comedy film QUN: Kiwami. By chance, he stumbles into a chaotic film location shoot and ends up drawn into the real world of movie production. His life, once defined by destruction, takes an unexpected turn toward creation as he begins working behind the scenes. The story follows Kujira as he struggles to find his place on a film crew, applying the discipline and loyalty he learned in the underworld to a new kind of team effort. He is guided by senior crew member Hazuki and Yukimura, a veteran who worked on the very film Kujira adores. The narrative arcs center on Kujira learning the ropes of filmmaking: from being assigned a seemingly trivial role, to handling high-pressure tasks like crowd control (hitodome) during shoots, and dealing with demanding cinematographers. Through each ordeal, his past as an enforcer gives him an unexpected edge, but he must also unlearn old habits.
