Description
In a world where every person is born with the Blessing of the Spirits, Feria, the daughter of a duke, is born without any blessing at all. Labeled a failure and scorned by her family and peers, she nonetheless endures as a scholarship student at the royal magic academy. Her father and younger stepsister, Celestia, treat her with contempt. When Celestia refuses her arranged betrothal, the father unhesitatingly offers Feria as a substitute bride. Seeing this as a chance to finally break away from her abusive family, Feria accepts.
Her fiancé is Arseif, the kingdom’s strongest knight, known far and wide as the Coldhearted Ice Emperor. Feared by all, he is rumored to be ruthless and emotionally frozen. Upon their first meeting, he attempts to intimidate Feria with a high-handed attitude and even unleashes his ice magic against her. To his surprise, the magic does not affect her, and Feria shows no fear. Unintimidated, she begins to treat him simply as her husband, refusing to cower before his reputation.
As the two begin their married life, the ice around Arseif’s heart gradually begins to thaw. His cold demeanor hides a genuinely caring and even bashful nature, and he finds himself drawn to Feria’s courage and sincerity. Meanwhile, Feria discovers that her fiancé is not the monster the world believes him to be. Their relationship, born from disdain and convenience, slowly transforms into genuine affection. Along the way, they navigate the politics of the royal court, confront lingering hostility from Feria’s former family, and uncover the truth behind her lack of a spirit blessing—which may hold a power far greater than anyone suspected.
