In her middle school years, Shirayuki Yume was deeply absorbed in a fantasy romance with her idealised imaginary boyfriends, or "dream boyfriends," whose characteristics, personalities, and relationships she meticulously recorded in a notebook. As an adult in her thirties, Yume has long since left this adolescent hobby behind, leading a quiet, uneventful life as an ordinary office worker. One day, however, four of the fictional boys from her old notebook mysteriously manifest in the real world and appear at her doorstep, refusing to leave. Suddenly thrust into a chaotic cohabitation with the living incarnations of her teenage fantasies, Yume must navigate the absurd situations that arise as each dream boyfriend pursues her attention in his own distinct way.
