In Sloeren, Ilias gains new allies, including the gifted young mage Paul, and works alongside Actole to build a brighter future for their growing nation. When refugees from the collapsed former kingdom arrive, and news breaks that former noblewomen are being trafficked in an underground auction, Ilias, Actole, and their knight Jin infiltrate the venue—only to find Marii herself chained on the auction block.
