Icho Michitake is a Tokyo University graduate stuck working a dead-end part-time job, living in a cheap apartment with thin walls, and routinely treated as a fool. One day he sees on television that his former classmate and secret crush, Hayase Yuki, has married a Keio University graduate. This triggers a crisis of regret. On his way home from work, he is struck by a bicycle and dies, only to be greeted by a novice angel named Yariel. She offers him a chance to redo his life with a "no regrets death limited life do-over plan." By clasping Yariel’s hand, Michitake is sent seven years into the past, landing at the orientation camp for his first year at Tokyo University.

Determined to win Yuki’s affection and escape the dead-end future he knows is coming, Michitake tries to relive his university days with more confidence and social savvy. Unfortunately, his over-the-top behavior and peculiar sense of fashion make him stand out in the wrong ways. The world he returns to is a comic parody of the hit series Tokyo Revengers, populated by characters who closely resemble their counterparts in name and appearance but possess wildly different personalities. Michitake’s old rival Akagi Monjiro (a send-up of Mikey) and the imposing Daraji Ken (a send-up of Draken) run a bizarre student club called the Todai Manji Kai, which Michitake is roped into joining. Every student at Todai inexplicably wears glasses and tucks their checkered shirt into their trousers.

Yariel accompanies Michitake through his second attempt at university life, visible only to him, and serves as a constant commentator on the absurdities of the people around him. As Michitake stumbles from one failed scheme to the next, the story blends slapstick misunderstandings, running gags about the grueling five-subject entrance exam of Tokyo University versus the three-subject exam at Keio, and affectionate mockery of the original series’ dramatic plot points. The narrative follows his attempts to join the same choir circle as Yuki, his entanglement in the Todai Manji Kai’s eccentric activities, and his repeated time-leaps whenever he manages to grab Yariel’s hand. Each return to the present reveals that his changes have only made things weirder, not better, forcing him to try again. The manga is a pure gag comedy, with no serious crime or violence, instead focusing on academic culture, social blunders, and the pressure of being a Todai student while trying to win a crush who is already set on a different path.
