Description
Tengoku Yoi is a perfect beauty who excels in both academics and sports, and she enters high school expecting a brilliant, spotlight-filled start. On the first day, during self-introductions, the intimidating, rough-looking boy Onizuka shocks the entire classroom by declaring, "I will be this school's heroine." The school has a long-running tradition called the Miss Heroine contest, where students compete to be crowned the most charming and worthy candidate. Yoi, who had assumed she would naturally claim that title, finds her expectations upended. Onizuka, despite his fierce appearance, is completely serious about becoming the school's ideal heroine and begins actively cultivating and flaunting his cuteness, much to Yoi's bewilderment and frustration. The story follows their escalating rivalry as they both try to outdo each other in sweetness and appeal, leading to a series of comedic clashes and awkward situations. The contest ultimately forces Yoi to question her own self-image and what it truly means to be a "heroine," while Onizuka's earnest determination challenges everyone's assumptions. The narrative builds toward the Miss Heroine competition, where both must face off in front of the entire school for the title. The two-volume series concludes with the festival's outcome and the growth of both characters through this unusual, competitive friendship.
