Kirio, a cash-strapped college student, tries to make a living by livestreaming her visits to haunted locations. Hoping to boost her view count, she heads to a notorious abandoned hospital that is rumored to be genuinely haunted. At the hospital she stumbles onto a confrontation between a young psychic boy named Sakura and a fierce, hungry-looking ghost girl named Kanako. After the bizarre encounter, Kirio finds herself dragged into an unlikely living arrangement: Kanako, who secretly longs to experience a normal everyday life, moves into Kirio’s home, and Sakura follows because he has become infatuated with the ghost. At first Kirio is bewildered by the supernatural roommate, but she gradually agrees to help Kanako pursue her wish for ordinariness.

As the three learn to coexist, Kanako’s powerful spiritual influence causes frequent paranormal disturbances in the apartment, turning daily life into a chaotic blend of horror and comedy. The group’s odd family grows when Sakura’s fellow psychic trainee, a girl named Hōsenka, joins the household, adding more energy and friction to the already crowded living situation.

The story deepens when hostile attack spirits known as “offensive cursed ghosts” begin to target Kanako. These entities refer to her as “Zero,” raising questions about her true origin. The answer lies in the hidden history of the M Hospital, where Kanako died under tragic circumstances.
