Description
Hana, a young college student, meets and falls in love with a mysterious man who reveals himself to be a wolf-like creature capable of transforming between human and wolf forms. Despite his unique nature, Hana embraces their relationship, and they eventually have two children: a daughter named Yuki and a son named Ame. The family lives a quiet life in the city, but tragedy strikes when the father dies unexpectedly, leaving Hana to raise their half-human, half-wolf children alone.
As the children grow, their dual heritage becomes increasingly challenging to manage. Yuki, the older sibling, exhibits a strong, spirited personality and struggles to control her wolf instincts, while Ame, the younger and more reserved child, begins to embrace his wolf side. Hana, determined to provide a safe and nurturing environment, decides to move the family to a rural countryside home, where the children can explore their identities without fear of societal judgment.
In their new surroundings, Yuki and Ame face the complexities of their dual nature. Yuki attends school and attempts to fit in with human peers, concealing her wolf traits to avoid standing out. Ame, on the other hand, becomes increasingly drawn to the wilderness, forming a deep connection with the natural world and the creatures within it. Their differing paths create tension, as Yuki grapples with her human identity and Ame begins to identify more strongly with his wolf heritage.
Hana’s unwavering love and dedication serve as the emotional core of the story, as she navigates the challenges of single parenthood and the unique needs of her children. The narrative explores themes of family, identity, and the balance between human and animal instincts, culminating in a poignant exploration of growth and self-discovery. The children’s journeys ultimately lead them to make choices that define their futures, while Hana reflects on the sacrifices and joys of raising them in a world that often fails to understand their extraordinary nature.
