Chantal Strand is a Canadian voice actress and former stunt performer, born on October 15, 1987, in Vancouver, British Columbia. She began her career in the entertainment industry at a young age, performing stunts alongside her twin sister in the film Look Who's Talking Now. Throughout her elementary and high school years, she accumulated credits in various television series and films, which laid the foundation for her extensive work in animation and anime dubbing. She is frequently associated with the Ocean Group of voice actors in Vancouver.

Strand's career is marked by a significant number of voice roles in English adaptations of anime series. She is perhaps best known for her work within the Gundam franchise, where she provided the voice of the iconic character Lacus Clyne. This role spanned multiple series and specials, including Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, and their respective Special Edition compilations. In Gundam SEED Destiny, she also voiced the character Meer Campbell, a double for Lacus Clyne, demonstrating her vocal range by portraying two distinct but connected roles within the same series. Her involvement in the franchise continued with the character Feldt Grace in Mobile Suit Gundam 00.

Beyond the Gundam universe, Strand's anime filmography is diverse. Early in her career, she voiced Angela in the OVA series Meltylancer: The Animation. She played the role of Kazumi Yoshida in the first season of Shakugan no Shana, including its spin-off specials Shakugan no Shana-tan. She is also recognized for her work as Bijou in Hamtaro, Akari Fujisaki in Hikaru no Go, and as Mayu Ikeda and Asuka in Inuyasha. Other notable credits include Sue in Dragon Drive, Temari Kaminarimon in Ranma ½, Ruri Sarasa in Tokyo Underground, and the dual roles of Duchess Morbucks and Mandy in Powerpuff Girls Z. In the series Ronin Warriors: Message, she voiced a young Suzunagi. A complete list of her roles includes the character Vanessa in the series Go! Go! Itsutsugo Land. Her later work includes the voice of Tama in Gintama°.

In addition to her anime work, Strand has had a prolific career voicing characters in Western animation, often for younger female roles. She is well known as the voice of Cassie, the shy and musical dragon, in Dragon Tales. She also voiced Diamond Tiara and her mother Spoiled Rich in the popular series My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Her long-running association with the Mattel franchise saw her voice various characters, most frequently Kelly, in numerous Barbie films from 2001 to 2008. Her work in this field earned her recognition for contributing to the Emmy award-winning program The New Adventures of Madeline, in which she also played the title character in two feature films.

Strand's voice work also extends into video games. She reprised her role as Lacus Clyne for the English dubs of Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 and Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3. More recently, she voiced the character Melody in the mobile game Dragalia Lost.

Alongside her acting career, Strand has pursued higher education. She graduated from Capilano University with an Associate of Arts degree in 2010 and later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia in 2013. She completed a Master of Journalism degree at the same institution in 2016 and has since published articles with the online magazine The Tyee.
