Kentarō Itō is a Japanese voice actor and stage actor born on January 3, 1974, in Hachiōji, Tokyo. He is currently affiliated with the talent agency Mausu Promotion and is also the representative of his own theater company, Theater Company K-Show. Known for his baritone voice, he is often recognized by his nickname "Itoken".

Itō's interest in performance began after high school when he helped out with a theater company, which led him to enroll in the drama department of Toho Gakuen College of Drama and Music in 1993. He made his stage debut that same year and, in 1995, joined the Theater Company 21st Century FOX, simultaneously beginning his career as a voice actor. In 2003, he founded his own theatrical group, Theater Company K-Show, demonstrating his long-standing commitment to live performance alongside his voice work.

His career in anime is extensive and marked by several high-profile roles in long-running and popular series. He is widely known for voicing the fiery and loyal lieutenant Renji Abarai in the long-running series Bleach, a role he originated in 2004 and has since reprised for its sequel arc, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War. Another signature role is that of Chōji Akimichi in the Naruto franchise, which he voiced from the original series through to Naruto: Shippuden. His filmography also includes a wide variety of characters such as the cunning Yoshitake Shiraishi in Golden Kamuy, the enthusiastic cyclist Jin Tadokoro in Yowamushi Pedal, and Kazuichi Banjo in Tokyo Ghoul:re.

Beyond these major titles, Itō has demonstrated his range across numerous other series, taking on roles like Spike in SEVEN KNIGHTS REVOLUTION: Hero Successor, Scoop in Fire Force, the general Kan Ki in Kingdom, and Marduk in KING’S RAID: Successors of the Will. His voice can also be heard in works such as Eden, the film Ride Your Wave, and various other projects spanning different genres and formats.

In addition to his anime work, Itō has a significant presence in video games and drama CDs. He has voiced characters in popular game franchises, including Yue Jin in the Dynasty Warriors series. His work in drama CDs is particularly notable, with roles in popular series like Junjo Romantica and Ai no Kusabi. Throughout his career, Itō has also taken on the responsibility of inheriting and continuing character roles originally voiced by the late Kazuyuki Sogabe and Takeshi Aono, highlighting his standing within the industry.
