Takayuki Yamada is a Japanese actor and voice actor born on October 20, 1983, in Okinawa, Japan, and raised in Kagoshima. He began his entertainment career in 1999 after being discovered by the talent agency Stardust Promotion, initially focusing on live-action television and film roles. He gained recognition for his work in series such as Water Boys and for his award-winning performances in dramas like Sekai no chūshin de, ai wo sakebu (Crying Out Love, in the Center of the World) and H2: The Days with You.
His involvement in voice acting for animation dates back to 2002, when he voiced the character Lune in the Studio Ghibli film The Cat Returns. This early role marked the beginning of a parallel career in which he contributes his voice to anime films and series alongside his extensive live-action work.
