Shiho Kawaragi
Description
Shiho Kawaragi is a Japanese voice actress, singer, and narrator born in Tokyo on April 29, 1976. She is affiliated with the talent management firm Kenyuu Office. Kawaragi is also known by the stage names Kaname Yuzuki and Yuua Yushizawa for her work in adult games and original video animations.
Kawaragi's path to voice acting began after she attended the Katsuta Voice Actor Academy. She further honed her skills at other training institutions, including Beniya 25 o'clock and voicegarage, before beginning her professional career in the late 1990s. Her early work included minor roles in television anime series such as His and Her Circumstances and Master Keaton. In addition to her voice work, Kawaragi has been involved in music. She was part of a unit called Oeser Corps with fellow cast members from the anime Fantastic Children. Later, she formed the group Plume with voice actresses Ai Mizuno and Aya Endo, engaging in self-produced CD releases, stage events, and internet radio. The group signed with the music label Lantis in late 2007.
Kawaragi has built an extensive and varied filmography across anime, video games, and dubbing. She is widely recognized for several prominent anime roles. She voiced Sekai Saionji in the series School Days and its related OVAs, a role that brought her significant attention. In the Rozen Maiden franchise, she played Megu Kakizaki. She is also known for her performances as Mio Nishizono in the Little Busters! series and its crossover appearance in Kaginado, as Rinka Hayami in Assassination Classroom and its subsequent film, and as Cheria Barnes in the Tales of Gekijō anime and the Tales of Graces video game. Other notable anime roles include Karen in Tenchi Muyo! GXP, Saki Daimonji in Master of Martial Hearts, Senka Yorozu in A Bridge to the Starry Skies, and multiple characters across the various Sylvanian Families anime shorts, such as Alicia and Melinda. Her range extends to diverse series like Ikki Tousen: Dragon Destiny, where she voiced both Bunken Gakushin and Bunwa Kaku, and Abnormal Physiology Seminar, as Makiko Gregory.
Beyond anime, Kawaragi has an extensive body of work in video games, lending her voice to titles such as Trigger Heart Exelica, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, and more recently, Fate/Samurai Remnant and Genshin Impact. She is also highly active in dubbing foreign films and television series into Japanese. A significant portion of this work involves providing the Japanese voice for American actress and dancer Alyson Stoner in numerous projects, including the Camp Rock films, the Step Up film series, and the animated series Phineas and Ferb.
