Annette Potempa is a German actress, voice actress, and singer, recognized for her extensive work in dubbing numerous anime and international productions. Born on September 18, 1976, in Chorzow, Poland, she began her career not in the performing arts but as an elite athlete, competing as a member of the German national gymnastics team at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. After retiring from gymnastics in 1994, she pursued a path in healthcare, training as a physiotherapist at the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz, before ultimately shifting her focus to performance, studying acting and singing at the Stage & Musical School in Frankfurt am Main.
