Anke Kortemeier
Description
Anke Kortemeier is a German actress, voice actor, and television presenter, born on November 9, 1975, in Munich. She began her career in voice acting at a very young age, starting in 1980. Early in her career, she lent her voice to numerous Czech fairy tale films and the character Sally Brown in productions featuring the Peanuts comic strip. Beyond voice work, Kortemeier has also worked extensively in front of the camera. She made her television debut in 1994 in a ZDF production. In the mid-1990s, she expanded her repertoire to include television hosting, presenting children's programs such as Ferienfieber for ARD and ZDF and later co-hosting Tabaluga tivi with Marco Ströhlein. She also worked as a presenter for the Disney Channel in Germany. Kortemeier is highly active in dubbing, providing the German voices for a wide array of characters in anime and animated series. Her most prominent role in this field was as the official German dubbing voice for actress Lindsay Lohan in several of her films. In the realm of anime, she is known for a variety of roles. These include the character Sara in the series New Fist of the North Star, the role of Alexis in Transformers: Armada, and Annie in the film Pokémon Heroes: Latios & Latias. She also voiced the character Kyouko Takimoto in the animated film I want to eat your pancreas. In the long-running series One Piece, she provided the voice for the character Perona in the special One Piece 3D2Y: Overcoming Ace's Death! Luffy's Pledge to His Friends. Her extensive voice portfolio also includes characters such as Miles "Tails" Prower in Sonic X, Shampoo in Ranma ½, and various roles in the Pokémon franchise.
