Yutaka Nakano is a Japanese actor and voice actor born on January 10, 1951, in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. He is affiliated with the talent agency Kakehi Production. His career began in the 1970s, primarily on the stage as a member of the Theatre Company Subaru, before he expanded into voice acting in the 1990s.

Nakano is known for his distinctive, calm voice and has built a prolific career portraying a wide range of authoritative and seasoned characters. One of his most iconic and long-running roles is Ishikawa, the shrewd informant of the political section in the Ghost in the Shell franchise. He first voiced the character in the 1995 film and has continued in the role across numerous series and films, including Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, its second season 2nd GIG, the film Solid State Society, and the more recent Netflix series SAC_2045. Another significant recurring role is the enigmatic, frog-faced doctor known as Heaven Canceler (or Frog Doctor) in the A Certain Magical Index franchise. He has voiced this character across multiple series, including A Certain Magical Index, A Certain Scientific Railgun, and A Certain Scientific Accelerator.

His filmography includes a vast number of other prominent anime roles.
