Jeong-Min Bae

Jeong-Min Bae is a South Korean voice actress known for her extensive work in Korean-language dubs of Japanese anime series. She began her career in the voice acting industry by joining the Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation's voice acting division in 1999. After three years with MBC, she transitioned to freelance work in 2002.

Bae's career is marked by a wide range of major roles in some of the most popular anime series. She is perhaps best known for providing the Korean voice of the protagonist Gon Freecss in the anime adaptation of Hunter x Hunter, a role she performed for both the 1999 TV series and its subsequent OVA installments, as well as the 2011 series. Another significant role is that of Christina Chris Mackenzie in the seminal OVA series Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket. Her filmography also includes the dual role of Haruka Yoshida and Saika Murata in Gunparade Orchestra, and the character Akira E. Ferrari across the Aria anime television series and its OVA, Aria the OVA ~Arietta~.

Beyond these roles, her voice can be heard in a multitude of other prominent anime series dubbed into Korean. Her versatility is demonstrated by performances in a broad spectrum of genres and characters. These include Eri Sawachika in School Rumble and its subsequent seasons, Kilari Tsukishima in Kirarin Revolution, and Junko Saotome in NANA. She also voiced several characters in Fullmetal Alchemist, including Maria Ross and Wrath, and took on roles in Shakugan no Shana as Bel-Peol and Khamsin Nbh'w. Her work extends to Chobits, where she voiced Dita, Koko, and the character Dokgo Jeongmin. Early in her career, she was also heard in the Korean broadcast of Magical DoReMi and as the voice of Doraemon in the MBC broadcast of the long-running series. She also voiced Sohma Kisa in the first Fruits Basket anime adaptation.
