Benno Lehmann is a German actor and voice artist born in Berlin on August 7, 1985. His career in the performing arts began at a young age in 1993 as a member of the children's ensemble at the Friedrichstadtpalast. He later pursued formal training at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst "Ernst Busch" in Berlin. Before becoming widely known for his voice work, Lehmann built a substantial career on stage, performing at renowned theaters such as the Berliner Ensemble, the Maxim Gorki Theater, and the Volksbühne in Berlin, with guest appearances at venues across Germany. He is also a trained puppeteer and developed a solo comedy program featuring his puppet, "HerrMann".

In addition to his on-screen and stage performances, Lehmann has established himself prominently in the field of synchronization, or dubbing, providing the German voices for numerous characters in international film and television productions. He also works as a dialogue director for dubbing projects. His voice, described as young and warm, has made him a frequent choice for anime and animated series. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he launched a YouTube channel called "Bennos Project," where he gained attention for his comedic dubbing of public figures, including virologist Christian Drosten.

Lehmann has an extensive list of credits in German-dubbed anime. Among his most notable roles are several of those mentioned by the user. He voices the protagonist Rito Yuuki in the romantic comedy series Motto To Love Ru, as well as in its predecessor To Love Ru: Darkness. In the action-fantasy franchise The Seven Deadly Sins, he is the voice of Gowther in the season titled Imperial Wrath of The Gods. He also took on the role of the powerful warrior Keiji Maeda in the crossover series Gakuen Basara: Samurai High School, having previously voiced the same character in the original Sengoku Basara - Samurai Kings series.

Further demonstrating his range in anime, Lehmann voiced Yuya Kanzaki in the sci-fi series A.I.C.O. -Incarnation- and Harry Creighton in the Netflix original anime Hero Mask, a role confirmed by the German dubbing database. He is also the German voice of Liu Tien Hua in the anime adaptation of the game Ingress. Other significant anime roles include Kouki Furihata in all seasons of Kuroko's Basketball and its film Last Game, Hifumi Yamada in Danganronpa The Animation, and Kan Tae-Jun in Yona of the Dawn.

Beyond anime, Lehmann's voice work extends to live-action series and video games. He has provided the German voice for the title character in the series IP Man and has voiced characters in popular video game franchises such as Assassin's Creed Origins and Far Cry 5. His work in dubbing sees him regularly voice a wide array of international actors, with his credits including performances originally played by Takahiro Sakurai, Kouki Uchiyama, Akira Ishida, and Noah Schnapp, among many others.
