Tom Wayland is an American voice actor, voice director, and producer with extensive credits in English-language dubs of Japanese anime. Born on July 21, 1973, he is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where he studied acting. Before entering the animation industry, Wayland performed in theatrical productions and as a musician. His career in anime began at studios such as Central Park Media and 4Kids Entertainment, and he later founded his own production company, TripWire Productions, which has produced hundreds of anime titles. He currently serves as the Supervising Director at 3Beep productions.

As a voice actor, Wayland has portrayed a wide array of characters across many popular series. He is known for his long-running involvement with the Pokémon franchise, where he has voiced numerous characters, including the legendary Pokémon Arceus in Pokémon: Arceus and the Jewel of Life, Virgil in Mewtwo ~Kakusei e no Prologue~, and various Pokémon such as Crustle. In the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, he is recognized for his role as Crow Hogan, a part he played in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's and the film Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D: Bonds Beyond Time. His other notable anime roles include Mash in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin: Advent of the Red Comet, Toshi in Kizuna, Genjou Kakouton in Ikki Tousen: Dragon Destiny, Tachiji in Kakurenbo - Hide & Seek, Kaneda in Ichi the Killer: Episode Zero, and Sena Izumi in Knight Hunters Eternity. He also voiced characters in the 4Kids dub of One Piece and took on the role of Mu La Flaga in the NYAV Post dub of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED.

Beyond acting, Wayland is a highly accomplished voice director and producer. He is perhaps best known as the ADR director for the long-running Pokémon series, a role he held for many years, and has also directed English dubs for series such as Mew Mew Power, Magical DoReMi, G.I. Joe: Sigma 6, and ShootFighter Tekken. His production and direction work extends to numerous other titles, including Alien Nine, The World of Narue, and Ichi the Killer: Episode Zero, where he also handled script adaptation and engineering duties. Through his leadership at TripWire Productions and 3Beep, Wayland has been a significant figure in the localization of anime for English-speaking audiences, contributing to over 200 titles over his career.
