Karlo Hackenberger is a German voice actor born in Berlin in 1969. He has been active in the dubbing industry since 1997, providing German voices for characters in numerous animated series and films. His educational background includes a year as a pupil at Allhallows School in England from 1983 to 1984, and he completed his Abitur in Berlin in 1988.

Hackenberger's body of work in anime and animation is extensive. He is known for voicing Wormmon in Digimon Adventure 02 and the 2020 film Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna. He has a long-standing role as Wataru Takagi in the long-running series Detective Conan, a part he has played since 1996, and also voiced the character in the Lupin III vs. Detective Conan The Movie. Another signature role is Yamcha across the Dragon Ball franchise. He provided the German voice for Viscount Druitt in Black Butler: His Butler, Performer. His other anime credits include roles in Rumiko Takahashi Anthology as Yoshio Hirouka, Flint: The Time Detective as Pterry, A Letter to Momo as Kouichi, Loveless as Soubi Agatsuma, and Peace Maker Kurogane as Susumu Yamazaki. Beyond anime, his voice can be heard as Snails in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Mordecai in Regular Show, and Bentley in the series Taffy.

In addition to animation, Hackenberger's voice is featured extensively in live-action dubbing. He is the German voice for actors such as Amaury Nolasco as Fernando Sucre in Prison Break, Gale Harold as Brian Kinney in Queer as Folk, and Jack Davenport in various roles. His other notable dubbing work includes characters in Game of Thrones, House of Cards, CSI: NY, and Desperate Housewives.

Hackenberger's professional activities extend beyond voice acting. He also works as a dialogue director, a script adapter for dubbing, and a voice actor agent. He is a musician as well, having been a member of the bands cam-era and Big Light, and is currently active with the band KOY and his own project, Die kleinste Band der Welt.
