Nanae Katō is a Japanese voice actress born on February 24, 1976, in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. Her blood type is O. She was formerly affiliated with the agency Ace Deuce and has been working as a freelance voice actress since mid-2009.

Katō began her voice acting career in the late 1990s. Her early work included roles in series such as Fancy Lala (1998), Eat-Man 98 (1998), and Magic User's Club (1999).

Her career includes a significant number of leading and supporting roles across a wide range of anime series. She is best known for her performance as the dual role of Ahiru and Princess Tutu in the 2002 series Princess Tutu. Other prominent title roles include Croquette in Croquette! and Noramimi in Noramimi and its sequel.

Throughout her career, Katō has voiced characters in several long-running and popular franchises. In the Shugo Chara! franchise, she voiced the character Miki across multiple series including Shugo Chara!, Shugo Chara!! Doki, and Shugo Chara! Party!. In the Inazuma Eleven series, she voiced Kakeru Megane in Inazuma Eleven and Inazuma Eleven: Saikyō Gundan Ogre Shūrai, as well as Makoto Kurosaki in Inazuma Eleven GO. She also voiced Kuromematti (also known as Kuromametchi) in the Let's Go! Tamagotchi series.

Her other notable roles include Mustard in Magical Play, Chika Yurikasa in Shrine of the Morning Mist, Domino in Shakugan no Shana III (Final), Mikiharu Kawaguchi in Bakegyamon, Shii-chan and Nike in Kamichama Karin, and Shinjuku Shin-chan in Shinjuku Shin-chan Patrol: Warui Otona ni Ki o Tsukete. She also contributed to the music for the anime Bakegyamon by performing its second ending theme song.

Beyond her solo work, Katō was the leader of the voice actress unit Pastel, which was active around 2003 and 2004. The group reunited briefly in 2016.
