Mai Gotō is a Japanese voice actress born on August 22, 1982, in Obihiro, Hokkaido, Japan. She is affiliated with the talent agency Ken Production. Gotō stands 148 cm tall and has B blood type. She graduated from the Tokyo Announce Gakuin vocational school. Her career in voice acting began in 2003, with her debut in the anime series Konjiki no Gash Bell. That same year, she also made her debut in the video game industry under the pseudonym Agumi Oto for the title Tenshi no Inai 12-gatsu. She has since used this and many other stage names for her extensive work in games, particularly visual novels.

Gotō is widely recognized for her specialization in sister-type roles, often playing charming and youthful characters with high-pitched voices. Among her most notable anime roles are Mika Nogizaka in the Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu franchise, Ryūbi (Liu Bei) in the Shin Koihime Musō series, May Chang in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Yuka Minase in 11eyes, Sumomo Kohinata in Happiness!, and Mizuki Hayama in the ef: a tale of memories and ef: a tale of melodies. Her other significant television anime credits include Pina Suforumukuran Estoh in Ladies versus Butlers!, Astarte in The Qwaser of Stigmata, Ritos Tortilla in Blessing of the Campanella, Sakuno Uryū in Mashiroiro Symphony, Airi Mizutani in Phi-Brain - Puzzle of God, Toa Narumi in Wagamama High Spec, Nina Avelin in Circlet Princess, Reiko Azuma in Pupipō!, Shinobu in Angel's Drop, Suzu Fujimi in SoniAni: Super Sonico the Animation, Tamako Kobayashi in Kemeko Deluxe!, Yuki-chan in Nanatsuiro Drops, and Mai Asagiri in Brighter than the Dawning Blue. She also played Sailor in the live-action film Ichi the Killer. In the OVA Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu: Finale, she reprised her role as Mika Nogizaka, and she also voiced Matsuri Amachi in the Yotsunoha OVA.

Beyond her anime work, Gotō is a prolific voice actress in video games, using her primary alias Agumi Oto for many adult titles. She was a member of the voice actress unit N's, alongside notables such as Mamiko Noto and Kana Ueda. The group performed theme songs for the Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu anime series. Gotō is also known for her skills in illustration, having drawn preview cards and CD jacket art for her projects. Her professional achievements include holding qualifications in Kanji examination (Level Pre-2) and secretarial skills (Level 2). She is a self-proclaimed otaku, and her interest in voice acting began in elementary school after listening to a radio program for the anime Here is Greenwood.
