Every morning, Tougo Sakuradaimon, the school’s strict and overly serious class monitor, stands at the gate checking students’ adherence to the dress code. His primary target is Poemu Kohinata, a gyaru-style high school girl whose bleached hair and inappropriately short skirt consistently violate school regulations. Their daily confrontations paint a picture of two people who are like oil and water, with Poemu finding Tougo annoying and overly pedantic.

The dynamic takes an unexpected turn when both end up in the same remedial class. Poemu discovers that beneath his stern exterior, the seemingly upright Sakuradaimon is actually a complete klutz, particularly struggling with mathematics. This revelation leads to an uneasy bargain Poemu offers to tutor him in exchange for him overlooking her skirt length violations. As they spend more time together, they begin to understand each other beyond their initial impressions, and a complicated relationship develops as each becomes aware of the other’s weaknesses.
