Description
The statue of Hachiko, the beloved faithful dog and iconic meeting point in front of Shibuya Station, comes to life. In this modern-day Tokyo setting, the animated Hachi embarks on small-scale adventures and navigates the daily rhythms of the famous district alongside a colorful group of animal friends.
Hachi is a spirited and curious pup with a love for exploration. He is joined by Mike, a drowsy merchant from the Kansai region; Nana, a proud and fashionable dog; Harry, a hedgehog who considers himself charming; and Kuro, a worldly-wise crow with plenty of life experience. Guiding this unusual group is Moyai, a wise figure known as the master of Shibuya.
The series is structured around the simple, heartwarming interactions between these characters as they explore their urban environment. The narrative focuses on lighthearted, everyday occurrences, turning the famous scramble crossing, backstreets, and landmarks of Shibuya into a playground for Hachi's curiosity. Over the course of its run, the story continues through multiple seasons, following the group’s ongoing escapades and reinforcing themes of community and friendship within the distinctive atmosphere of one of Tokyo’s most famous neighborhoods.
