Description
In a future Japan where the central government has been abolished and the nation has lost its unifying leader, the country is divided into nine separate regions. As citizens in these fractured territories seek new forms of leadership, they turn not to traditional politicians but to idols who possess a special ability known as the Sixth Sense. These performers express political ideologies through song and dance, leading to the arrival of an Idol Warring States era where entertainers hold political power.
Amid this upheaval, nine young men who share a deep desire to change their circumstances are drawn together by a mysterious dream that guides them to an alternate version of Japan. This group, consisting of Yomino Mekuru, Uzuki Gakuto, Kannishi Aiku, Yanai Toshiro, Kafuku Shota, Onmyo Panda, Koyomi Nanashi, Amanogawa Utsuro, and Kabara Suua, begins to hone their innate Sixth Sense abilities while striving to carve out their own destinies on the path to becoming idols.
The narrative unfolds through short episodes that follow the nine protagonists as they navigate the complexities of this politically charged entertainment landscape. A significant narrative arc involves the characters crossing dimensional boundaries, arriving in a version of Japan that is not their own, where they must learn to master their special abilities while competing in an environment where performance and governance have merged. As they train and grow, the young men aim to establish themselves in this chaotic era, using their newfound powers and talents to influence the world around them and reshape the future of the divided nation.
