An extraterrestrial life form named Kikkun travels from a distant planet with a mission to invade Earth, but the plan takes an unexpected turn when the invasion team assigned to Japan finds the country far too comfortable. Forgetting their original purpose, the group instead becomes determined to protect Japan and the entire planet. The story originally began as a daily four-panel yonkoma manga created by singer and actor Yūichi Nakamaru during the COVID-19 pandemic, eventually developing into a short-form anime. Kikkun serves as the central figure among a small cast of alien characters, including Ha-kun, who initially joins the invasion but also grows fond of Earth. Kikkun is accompanied by Tsuntsun, his mechanically-inclined son who possesses a remarkably high IQ of 600. Other members of the alien team include Mogura, who prefers to hide underground, and Ika, a worker skilled at mimicry. The series unfolds through rapid-fire comedic vignettes as these extraterrestrials navigate daily life on Earth, concealing their origins while secretly acting as the planet's unlikely guardians. Their original mission of conquest becomes an absurdist backdrop to slice-of-life scenarios, where the biggest challenge is not planetary domination but blending into Japanese society without revealing their true identities.
