Description
Retsuko, a 25-year-old anthropomorphic red panda, works diligently in the accounting department of a Japanese trading company. Quietly introverted yet earnest, she navigates daily office life with timid resolve, often staying late to meet responsibilities while concealing social anxiety beneath a polite exterior. Her yearning for marital and familial happiness occasionally clashes with her naivety, leading to awkward or challenging situations.

Workplace frustrations—overbearing bosses, demanding colleagues—drive her to nightly death metal karaoke sessions at a local bar. There, she channels suppressed anger and stress into raw, cathartic performances, her voice roaring lyrics she dare not speak aloud by daylight.

Physically, she embodies red panda traits: soft orange facial fur framing black eyes, white-tipped ears, and brown limbs. Her tail alternates light orange and brown bands. Daily outfits include a jewel-collared peach sweater, plaid skirt, and black shoes, shifting to a navy pea coat, tights, and boots in winter. Office attire pairs a blue vest and skirt with a white blouse and brown heels. During performances, her transformation is striking: corpse-paint makeup, glowing blue eyes, sharpened teeth, a devilish tongue, and the kanji 烈 ("rage") etched on her forehead.

Initially, Retsuko internalizes struggles, her passive approach and emotional inexperience exacerbating problems. Gradually, friendships and workplace alliances teach her to seek support, fostering resilience. Her secret death metal talent eventually gains a following, morphing into a lucrative side career that amplifies her voice—literally and metaphorically. This confidence propels her into politics, where she campaigns for a National Diet seat, balancing newfound ambition with enduring personal and professional trials.
