TV-Series
Description
Kiki is a young disciple and apprentice to Mu, the Gold Saint of Aries, in the Saint Seiya series. He is first encountered in the mountains of Jamir, a region in Tibet, where he resides with his master. As a member of the Muvian or Lemurian people, Kiki shares distinct physical traits with his master, most notably two small dot-like markings, known as tilak, on his forehead. At the start of the story, he is eight years old, standing 130 centimeters tall, and is characterized by his spiky, orange hair and a cheerful, energetic appearance.
In terms of personality, Kiki is a lively and playful child who often brings a lighthearted and humorous presence to the series. He is mischievous and enjoys playful tricks, a trait reflected in his name, which can mean noble demon. Despite his youth and tendency toward mischief, he is deeply loyal and brave. He shows great respect for his master, Mu, and possesses a strong sense of duty toward Athena and her Saints. When serious situations arise, he sets aside his playful nature and acts with courage and determination, sometimes even putting his own life at risk to help others.
Kiki's primary motivation is to assist his master and the Saints of Athena in any way he can. He is eager to prove himself and is dedicated to his training, hoping to one day follow in Mu's footsteps. As an apprentice, he works hard to learn the arts of cloth repair and psychic combat, aspiring to become the successor to the title of Aries Gold Saint.
Throughout the story, Kiki plays a crucial supporting role, acting as a messenger, guardian, and helper to the Bronze Saints. One of his first major tasks is to deliver the repaired Pegasus Cloth to Seiya during the battle against the Black Saints. During the Poseidon arc, he performs a vital mission by transporting the Libra Gold Cloth to the Bronze Saints, providing them with the necessary weapons to destroy the seven undersea pillars supporting Poseidon's temple. In the Hades arc, he demonstrates his profound bravery by using his telekinetic abilities to detect the deadly attacks of the god Thanatos. He physically shields Seiya's sister, Seika, from harm, taking a powerful blow to protect her.
Kiki's most significant relationship is with his master, Mu. He looks up to Mu with great admiration, and their bond is one of teacher and devoted student. Mu instructs him not only in combat but also in the sacred and unique art of restoring the Saints' Cloths. Kiki also develops a strong, friendly rapport with the Bronze Saints, particularly Shiryu of Dragon and Seiya of Pegasus, whom he assists on numerous occasions. He treats them as allies and friends, and they, in turn, respect and care for the young apprentice. In the spin-off series Saint Seiya Omega, Kiki has grown into an adult and has fully inherited his master's legacy, becoming the Gold Saint of Aries. In this role, he serves as a wise and powerful mentor to a new generation of Saints, even taking on his own apprentice, a young girl named Raki, and is regarded as the legendary repairer of Cloths.
As a child, Kiki shows considerable development in his abilities and maturity. He begins as a playful student under Mu's tutelage, but as the various holy wars progress, he repeatedly proves his reliability and courage under fire. He learns to apply his training in practical and dangerous situations, evolving from a simple comic relief character into a capable and trustworthy ally. His abilities are rooted in his Muvian heritage, granting him powerful psychic powers. He is a natural and highly skilled user of telekinesis and psychokinesis, which allows him to move objects with his mind, levitate, and even teleport himself or objects across great distances. He uses these powers to recover the Pegasus Cloth from a collapsed volcano and to teleport the crucial Libra Cloth to the underwater battlefield. In the Omega series, as the Aries Gold Saint, he has mastered high-level techniques such as the Crystal Wall for defense, and the Stardust Revolution and Starlight Extinction for offense. He also becomes the sole master of cloth reparation, a rare and vital skill inherited from his master Mu.
