Description
Anemone began as an ordinary human child until the aftermath of the First Summer of Love and ensuing civil wars claimed her parents. Contracting Desperation Disease, she was seized by the United Federation military and subjected to experiments to forge artificial Humanoid Coralians. Emerging as the sole survivor, her body bore pink hair and Coralian-like blue eyes, while her mind gained a link to the Scub Coral. The procedures left her mentally fractured, prone to violent episodes, headaches, and nosebleeds—conditions temporarily controlled by stimulants injected into her neck.

Designated pilot of the Nirvash typeTheEND, she was conditioned to obey Colonel Dewey Novak, feigning affection to avoid abandonment. Her survival hinged on battling Gekkostate, specifically targeting Eureka and Renton. Despite her combat skill and advanced LFO, repeated defeats by the Nirvash typeZERO intensified her existential terror and fear of uselessness. This changed as her handler, Dominic Sorel, grew sincerely invested in her well-being, though she rebuffed his compassion until acknowledging his loyalty.

Her turmoil escalated upon witnessing Dewey’s disdain—referring to her as “it”—and grasping her role as a pawn in his anti-Scub crusade. Tasked with tagging the Scub Coral Command Cluster with a transmitter for Dewey’s Oratorio #8, a suicidal operation, she acquiesced, numbed by Dominic’s apparent betrayal. Confronting Eureka and Renton without true malice, she reunited with Dominic, who followed her into the Scub Coral. Their reciprocal love confession and escape from Dewey’s grip catalyzed her rebirth from weapon to self-determined individual.

In alternate timelines like the Hi-Evolution trilogy, she is “Anemone” Fuuka Ishii, daughter of soldier Ken Ishii. Entering a virtual realm via a dimensional device, she battles Eurekas alongside Dominic—an AI crafted by her father. After aiding Eureka’s escape from despair-laden dreamscapes, she ascends to a high-ranking A.C.I.D. officer and captain of the Buena Vista spacecraft, implied to wed a flesh-and-blood Dominic. She safeguards Iris McKenzie, a nascent Humanoid Coralian, from Dewey’s forces, evolving into a leader championing coexistence.

Anemone’s journey weaves redemption and self-worth, charting her shift from traumatized instrument of war to an autonomous advocate for connection. Her bonds with Dominic and Eureka anchor her quest for acceptance, ultimately elevating personal ties above martial obligation.
