Throughout Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Marill, Psyduck, and Venonat's rescue mission – navigating the forest, encountering wild Elekid and Bellossom, and safeguarding Exeggcute nests during a storm – Ash remains asleep, absent from the narrative focused solely on the Pokémon's interactions. After the mission concludes and the Pokémon return, Ash awakens, feeling refreshed and commenting on the good rest. He notices the Pokémon playing nearby and calls out to Pikachu, who responds happily. The group reunites, with Ash unaware of the adventure that occurred during his sleep.
