Description
Shiro Kabuto, Koji Kabuto's younger brother, possesses brown hair and black eyes. He typically wears a green shirt with red outlines, jean shorts, and brown shoes. His personality blends youthful enthusiasm with flashes of wisdom beyond his years, presenting a friendly and playful nature tempered by hardheadedness and hot-tempered reactions, especially when confronting bullies or defending others. Despite his grade-school age, he shows physical courage against older or multiple opponents.

In "Mazinger Z vs. Devilman", Shiro appears during critical events. He witnesses Mazinger Z and Aphrodite A battling mechanical beasts when the female demon Sirene is accidentally freed. Later, as the Photon Power Laboratory develops the Jet Scrander for Mazinger Z, Sirene and the amorphous demon Bugo attack to destroy it. During this assault, Sirene takes Shiro and Sayaka Yumi hostage, carrying them into the sky before dropping them. Devilman intervenes to rescue them. Koji arrives to retrieve them and inadvertently observes Akira Fudo transforming back from Devilman, revealing his secret identity. After the combined defeat of Dr. Hell's forces and the demons, Shiro expresses visible disappointment at Devilman's departure, with Sayaka comforting him by affirming Devilman's enduring symbolic presence as a hero.

Across other Mazinger media, Shiro consistently serves as both comic relief and emotional support. He actively supports Koji during battles, often scouting on his motorcycle, and shows deep concern for Koji's safety during injury or danger. Shiro develops friendships with Boss and his gang, initially viewing them as bullies but later joining their group. He experiences significant personal loss when the android Lorelai is destroyed and forms a close bond with classmate Haruka Shiratori in later series. Family relationships remain central, particularly his complicated dynamic with his father Kenzo Kabuto after believing him dead for years. While initially resentful upon learning Kenzo survived in secret, he eventually reconciles through understanding his father's reasons.
