Tsutomu Kashiwakura
Description
Tsutomu Kashiwakura is a Japanese voice actor and sound director born on March 1, 1966, in Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture. He is affiliated with the talent agency Magus. Throughout his career, he has used several stage names, including the hiragana version 柏倉つとむ and the katakana version 柏倉ツトム, before adopting his current katakana stage name, カシワクラツトム, in September 2004.
Driven by a childhood dream to voice the character Koji Kabuto from Mazinger Z, Kashiwakura pursued a career in voice acting and became a first-generation student at the ARTSVISION acting school. He made his debut in 1986 with a role in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ. In addition to his voice acting work, Kashiwakura has also worked extensively as a sound director, beginning around the year 2000.
Kashiwakura has built a prolific career with numerous voice roles across television anime, original video animations, and films from the 1980s onward. His filmography is marked by a wide range of characters, from childlike roles to villains, often showcasing his ability to portray both young boys and teenagers. Among his most notable and long-running roles is Noritaka Hamaji Hamazaki in the beloved series Chibi Maruko-chan, a character he has voiced for many years.
