Eiji Hanawa is a Japanese voice actor and narrator born on July 6, 1974, in Yamanashi Prefecture. He is affiliated with the talent agency Kenyu Office. Hanawa is a graduate of the 12th term of the Katsuta Voice Actor's Academy and also completed his studies at the映像技术学院 (Video Technology Institute). His career in voice acting began in 1998, and he has since built a substantial body of work.

While Hanawa is active in anime, a significant portion of his career is dedicated to dubbing foreign films and television dramas, known as "fukikae" in Japan. He is frequently cast to voice mature, adult male characters in this context. Some of his most prominent dubbing roles include Jon Snow in the series Game of Thrones, Prince Charming/David Nolan in Once Upon a Time, and Nick Burkhardt in Grimm. He has also dubbed for Hollywood films, such as voicing Riot/Carlton Drake in the Japanese version of Venom.

In anime, Hanawa has portrayed a wide range of characters, from stoic warriors to authority figures. He is known for voicing the powerful and silent warrior Jiren in Dragon Ball Super and Super Dragon Ball Heroes. He also took on the role of the antagonist Grand Maestro Sagan in takt op. Destiny, and the mysterious chef Niccolo in Attack on Titan The Final Season. His other notable anime roles include Kalim in Shaman King (2021), Sabato Kuroi in Blade of the Immortal (2019), Yosuke Endo in Ultraman, Unmo in Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: The Battle of Unato, and Wilhelm von Littenheim in Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These Second. He also provided the voice for Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man, in the Marvel-themed anime series Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers and Marvel Future Avengers.

Hanawa's voice can also be heard in numerous other popular series. His filmography includes roles such as Abengane in Hunter x Hunter (2011), Shunan in The Beast Player Erin, and Tsunemasa Taira in Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 3: Owari Naki Unmei. More recently, he has voiced characters like Richter in Frieren: Beyond Journey's End and Isao Mabuchi in Solo Leveling. Beyond animation, Hanawa is also active in video games, with roles including Anders Hellman in the Japanese version of Cyberpunk 2077 and Tachibana Muneshige in Nioh.
