Kaoru Morota is a Japanese voice actress born on September 26, 1971, in Osaka Prefecture. She is affiliated with the talent agency Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society (Haikyō). Morota began her career in the mid-1990s after graduating from the Katsuta Voice Actor's Institute in 1991 and the Haikyo Voice Actors Studio in 1994. She was formerly known under the stage name Kazue Morota.
Morota has built a career with a wide range of voice roles in anime, video games, and OVAs. Her filmography is extensive, featuring many prominent series from the 1990s onward. She is often cast in roles that are energetic or tomboyish, sometimes utilizing her native Kansai dialect. In addition to her work under her own name, she has used the alias "AYA" for voice work in anime eroge (erotic games) titles.
