Ryan Reynolds

Description
An English-language voice actor, Ryan Reynolds, has built a career primarily through voice work in dubbed versions of Japanese anime series. One of his earliest documented roles was voicing the title character in an English adaptation of the Tom Sawyer story for the anime series Funky Fables, in a production that dates back to 1993. He also provided the voice for another character, Colic Crayfish, within the same Funky Fables series.

Reynolds is perhaps best known for his role as Gobta, the endearing and comedic leader of the goblins, in the popular isekai anime That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. He reprised this role for the spin-off series The Slime Diaries, which focuses on the quieter, day-to-day life of the characters from the main series. His work on this franchise places him within a cast of voice actors frequently featured in productions by Funimation (now known as Crunchyroll), the company responsible for the English dub.

His other notable anime voice roles demonstrate his range across different genres. In the long-running and popular superhero series My Hero Academia, Reynolds voices Reiko Yanagi, a quiet and somewhat mysterious student in Class 1-B whose quirk is named Poltergeist. He also voiced the character Lucy Morstan in the 2019 mystery anime Case File nº221: Kabukicho, a series produced by Production I.G. Additionally, Reynolds provided the English voice for the timid Baltic nation of Latvia in the long-running historical comedy series Hetalia World Stars.

Through these roles, Ryan Reynolds has become a recognizable voice in contemporary English-dubbed anime, contributing to a wide array of series that span action, comedy, fantasy, and historical parody.
