Maythe Guedes was a Venezuelan voice actress and dubbing director with a career spanning over three decades, during which she lent her voice to more than one hundred characters in animated series, films, and video games for the Latin American market. She began her career in the entertainment industry in 1992, initially working as a sound technician before transitioning to voice acting and audio editing.

Guedes was active in dubbing for both North American animation and Japanese anime. Among her most recognized roles in anime was Junior, also known as Capitán Azul Jr., in the series Viewtiful Joe. She also voiced Selina Kyle, known as Gatúbela, in the anime film Batman Ninja. Her extensive work in the genre included roles in major franchises such as Rose in Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Mimiru in.hack//SIGN, Hotaru in.hack//Legend of the Twilight, and Okoi in Basilisk. Her other anime credits included Hyatt in Excel Saga, Chizuru Honda in Bokurano, Nae Akihabara in Medabots, Kaoru Ujiie in GetBackers, Meia Gisborn in Vandread, Kagura Tennouzu in Speed Grapher, Kikuri in Hell Girl: Two Mirrors, and Ayamo Nakamura in Stratos 4.

In addition to her on-screen roles, Guedes contributed extensively behind the scenes in the anime industry. She worked as a dubbing director for Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and as a casting director or assistant on series such as Basilisk, Black Cat, Blue Dragon, Mushi-Shi, and xxxHOLiC. Her work in non-anime animation was equally prominent, with iconic roles including Rose Quartz in Steven Universe, Stormy in Winx Club, Ember McLain in Danny Phantom, the mother of SpongeBob SquarePants, Felino in the 2011 Thundercats series, Storm in X-Men: Evolution, and Tucker Carbunkle in My Life as a Teenage Robot. She was also a long-standing voice for Catwoman in various DC Comics productions beginning in 2004, including The Batman and the film Batman: Gotham by Gaslight.

Guedes was also a singer and performed vocal work for theme songs and character songs, notably for the Winx Club series. Throughout her career, she was based in her native Caracas, Venezuela, and was affiliated with Doblarte Films, where she also worked as a professor, audio technician, and dubbing coordinator, helping to mentor new talent in the industry.
