Stefano Onofri

Description
Stefano Onofri is an Italian voice actor and actor with a career that spans theater, film, and dubbing. Born in Rome on March 16, 1956, he began his artistic path in the 1970s as a theater actor. A successful audition in 1982 led to a long-standing collaboration with renowned director Giorgio Strehler at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan, a relationship that has defined a significant part of his theatrical work. Since 2000, he has been a permanent member of the company for the play "Arlecchino servitore di due padroni" at the same theater.

His entry into the world of voice acting began at the Synchronizing Actors Society, with his first major role being the protagonist Marin Raigan in the series "Baldios". Over the years, he has become a highly recognizable voice in Italian animation, lending his voice to a wide array of iconic characters. He is particularly known for dubbing several animated versions of Spider-Man, including in series such as "Spider-Man - L'Uomo Ragno". Other notable animation roles include Gigi Sullivan in "Gigi la trottola," Tintin in "The Adventures of Tintin," and Douglas Yancey Funnie in the series "Doug".

Since 2008, Onofri has held the distinction of being the official Italian voice of the legendary thief Arsène Lupin III, taking over the role following the death of the character's historic voice actor, Roberto Del Giudice. His first performance as the character was in the film "Lupin III: The Goddess's Tear". He has since voiced Lupin III in a vast number of films and series, becoming the definitive voice of the character for a generation of Italian fans. His extensive work as Lupin includes titles such as "Lupin III: Prison of the Past," "Lupin III THE FIRST," "Lupin III: Goodbye Partner," "Lupin the IIIrd: Fujiko Mine's Lie," "Lupin the Third: Part 5," "Lupin the IIIrd: Jigen's Gravestone," "Lupin III: Princess of the breeze," "Lupin III: the Last Job," "Lupin the 3rd: Green vs Red," "Lupin III: Elusiveness of the Fog," "Lupin III: Seven Days Rhapsody," "Lupin III Italian Game," "Lupin the 3rd: Blood Seal of the Eternal Mermaid," and "Lupin III vs. Detective Conan The Movie," among many others. His dubbing work on the franchise often features a consistent group of Italian voice actors, including Alessandra Korompay as Fujiko Mine, with whom he frequently collaborates.

In addition to his voice work, Onofri has also appeared on screen. A notable film role was his portrayal of Harlequin in Roberto Benigni's 2002 film "Pinocchio".
