Noriko Tsukase was a Japanese voice actress and singer active from the early 1970s until her death in 1989. She was born on December 23, 1945, in Kanagawa Prefecture. Her career was closely associated with the talent agency Aoni Production, where she was a member for much of her professional life.

Before entering the voice acting industry, Tsukase developed an interest in performance and audio work. After graduating from high school, she attended a talent center and later worked as a radio disc jockey. Her voice acting career began in 1970, notably with her role as the narrator for the long-running television program Dekirukana.

Tsukase possessed a distinctive, raspy voice that allowed her to portray a wide variety of characters, from young boys and girls to animals. This versatility made her a prolific presence in anime during the 1970s and 1980s. Among her most celebrated roles was Spank, the titular kitten in the series Ohayō! Spank. She was also well-known for her work in magical girl genres, such as her dual role as Non and the cat Furu-Furu in Majokko Megu-chan, and as Miss Alphonne in the original Cutie Honey series.

Her extensive filmography includes numerous other notable characters. She played the boy Jacky in The Story of the Bear Cub Jacky, Banner in Bannertail: The Story of Gray Squirrel, and Tamu Tamu in Fuusen Shoujo Temple-chan. In the 1980s, she took on leading roles such as the energetic boy Hajime in Doteraman and Harubo in Gyakuten Ippatsuman. She also voiced the character Baby in the OVA Birth and the character Mars in the film Unico in the Island of Magic. Her talent extended to comedy, with roles like Kenta Ishii in Ganbare! Kickers and Hagemaru Hageda in Tsurupika Hagemaru-kun, as well as Ganmo Unohana in the 1988 version of Himitsu no Akko-chan.

In addition to anime, Tsukase was active in dubbing foreign films and television series, and she also lent her voice to tokusatsu productions and puppet dramas. Beyond acting, she was a chanson singer and performed theme songs for some of the series in which she starred.

Noriko Tsukase passed away on May 15, 1989, from rectal cancer at the age of 43. Her death led to several of her long-running roles, such as Hagemaru Hageda and Ganmo, being taken over by other voice actors. She is remembered as a highly active and versatile performer whose work defined many beloved characters of her era.
