Description
Inuyasha, a half-demon sired by the dog-demon Toga and human mother Izayoi, endured ostracization from both humans and demons during his youth, forging his defiant and fiercely independent nature. As a young adult, he sought the Shikon Jewel’s power to become a full demon but was imprisoned on a sacred tree by the priestess Kikyō. Centuries later, freed by Kikyō’s reincarnation, Kagome Higurashi, he allied with her to defeat the demon Naraku, culminating in their eventual marriage.
Years later, their quarter-demon daughter, Moroha, became the target of Kirinmaru and his sister Zero due to a prophecy foretelling calamity. To safeguard her, Inuyasha and Kagome left Moroha with the Wolf Demon Tribe before confronting Kirinmaru. During the clash, Sesshōmaru intervened, sealing them within their father’s tomb in the Border of the Afterlife using the Black Pearl. Trapped for years, Inuyasha’s combat techniques, including the Meidō Zangetsuha, were preserved as critical assets for looming conflicts.
Moroha inherited her father’s claw-based attacks and volatile demonic energy, wrestling with their control until her parents’ escape. Breaking free via the combined forces of Tessaiga and Tenseiga, Inuyasha and Kagome rejoined their daughter, aiding her in thwarting Kirinmaru’s cataclysmic ambitions. They forged Moroha a longbow infused with spiritual energy, bolstering her demon-purifying capabilities.
Inuyasha’s arc transitions from solitary warrior to guardian, his once-hostile dynamic with Sesshōmaru shifting toward uneasy collaboration amid shared stakes in their children’s survival. Though physically absent for much of the sequel’s events, his legacy endures through Moroha’s inherited strength and the strategic implications of his entrapment, which shaped the battle against Kirinmaru’s machinations.
