Description
Sanji, originally named Vinsmoke Sanji, hails from the royal Vinsmoke family ruling the Germa Kingdom in the North Blue. As the third son of Vinsmoke Judge and Vinsmoke Sora, he held the status of a prince. Unlike his genetically modified siblings, Sanji was born with normal human abilities and emotions due to his mother's intervention. This difference led to severe abuse from his father and brothers, culminating in his imprisonment and a staged death. His sister Reiju eventually facilitated his escape, after which he permanently renounced his family name and title.
Following his escape, Sanji worked as a cook aboard the cruise ship Orbit. A pirate named "Red Leg" Zeff rescued him during a storm, leaving them stranded together. Zeff gave Sanji all their food rations and sacrificed his own leg to ensure their survival. This act instilled in Sanji a lifelong vow to never refuse food to anyone in need.
