Description
Fujitora, known by his real name Issho, holds the rank of Admiral in the Marines. Recruited via the World Military Draft after the two-year timeskip, he filled a vacancy left by Kuzan's resignation and Sakazuki's promotion. Prior to his Marine service, Fujitora commanded the military of the Grand Line's Aoi Kingdom. Following the kingdom's wartime destruction and his designation as a war criminal, he deliberately blinded himself with an X-shaped scar across his eyes to spare himself from witnessing the world's pervasive corruption.

Disillusioned, he traveled to Soja Island and developed a gambling addiction. After accruing substantial debts, he worked as a bodyguard for a gambling establishment. His formidable combat skills drew the World Government's attention, resulting in his Marine conscription. As an Admiral, Fujitora practices "Humane Justice," prioritizing civilian safety over criminal capture—a stance that frequently clashes with Fleet Admiral Sakazuki's "Absolute Justice."

During the Dressrosa Arc, Fujitora initially supported Warlord Donquixote Doflamingo against the Straw Hat Pirates. When Doflamingo entrapped the island in a "Birdcage," Fujitora covertly aided the Straw Hats to expose the Seven Warlords system's failures. After Doflamingo's defeat, he publicly apologized to King Riku Doldo III and Dressrosa's citizens for Marine complicity, broadcasting this act widely. Sakazuki banned him from Marine bases until he captured Monkey D. Luffy, an order Fujitora intentionally disregarded.

In *One Piece Film: Red*, Fujitora joined Admiral Kizaru's task force to Elegia Island, targeting the singer Uta due to her threatening Devil Fruit powers. He followed orders while minimizing harm, with no new background elements introduced.

Fujitora wields the Zushi Zushi no Mi, a gravity-manipulating Paramecia Devil Fruit. Using his shikomizue (cane-sword), he summons meteors, creates gravitational fields ("Ferocious Tiger"), and generates craters ("Hell Journey"). Despite blindness, his advanced Kenbunshoku Haki senses surroundings, predicts movements, and perceives emotions. He also employs Busoshoku Haki to augment sword strikes and defenses.

Physically tall with short dark hair, a beard, and mustache, Fujitora keeps his scarred eyes closed. He wears a Marine coat like a cape over a light-purple yukata and dark purple belt, accessorized with a purple cloak, geta sandals, and bandaged forearms with handguards. His *Film: Red* attire features a gray yukata and muted purple cloak.

Fujitora maintains a complex dynamic with Monkey D. Luffy, compelled to pursue him as a pirate yet acknowledging his Dressrosa heroism and regretting his inability to see Luffy's face. He shares a respectful rivalry with Admiral Ryokugyu but opposes his loyalty to the Celestial Dragons. Camaraderie with Vice Admiral Smoker stems from mutual disdain for the Warlord system.

His broader goals include Marine reform and abolishing corrupt World Government practices. At the Levely, he facilitated the Revolutionary Army's rescue of enslaved individuals, straining relations with superiors. Fujitora ultimately dismantled the Seven Warlords system, replacing it with Dr. Vegapunk's Seraphim.
