Aki Kanada is a Japanese voice actress born on August 18, 1983, in the Aichi Prefecture. She is a native of the Shimoyama area, which is now part of Toyota City. Originally, she began her career using the name Akiyo Kanada, before switching to her current stage name. She is currently affiliated with the talent agency Zynchro. Her decision to pursue a career in voice acting was inspired by learning that her favorite manga, Kodocha, was being adapted into an anime.

Kanada has built a career voicing a wide array of characters, from young boys to energetic creatures, and has become a familiar presence in many long-running anime franchises. One of her most prominent early roles was as the protagonist Gingka Hagane in the long-running series Metal Fight Beyblade, a role she also reprised for the film Metal Fight Beyblade VS Taiyō Shakunetsu no Shinryakusha. She has had a recurring association with the Bakugan franchise, voicing the character Lightning across multiple series, including Bakugan Battle Planet, Bakugan: Armored Alliance, Bakugan: Evolutions, Bakugan: Geogan Rising, and Bakugan: Legends. In Bakugan Battle Planet, she also took on the roles of Dee and Philomena Dusk.

Her filmography also includes roles in the magical girl genre, such as Nyatoran in Healin' Good Precure and its subsequent film, Eiga Healin' Good ♥ Precure Yume no Machi de Kyun! tto GoGo!. She voiced Flora and Kris in the Jewelpet Kira☆Deco—! series, as well as Flora in the original Jewelpet series. In the world of mecha anime, she voiced Gokū Impulse Gundam in SD Gundam World Heroes.

Beyond these, Kanada has contributed her voice to a wide variety of other projects. She played Cony in Line Town and Connie in its spin-off, Line Offline Salaryman. She voiced Chibitalia in the popular series Hetalia Axis Powers and its film Paint it, White!. Her other roles include Ichika in the Phantasy Star Online 2 Comic web anime, Mirai in Saint Seiya: Saintia Shō, Sasuke Akatsuki in Battle Spirits Burning Soul, Makoto in Marvel Future Avengers and its second season, Franky Crawley in Chocolate Underground, Sheena in the film The Asylum Session, and the Apprentice in the short series Koroshiya-san. Earlier in her career, she was also credited for minor roles in series such as Natsume's Book of Friends and K-On!.
