Maria Sashide is a Japanese voice actress born in Saitama Prefecture on September 20, 1998. She is affiliated with the agency With Line. Her interest in anime and the voice acting profession was influenced by her mother, who was an anime enthusiast. Initially aspiring to become a stage actress, she was encouraged to pursue voice acting after being told her voice was unique. While still in high school in 2015, she advanced to the final round of the Chain Chronicle Character Voice Audition. Following this, she trained at A&G Academy and officially joined her agency in April 2016. She later graduated from university in March 2021.

Sashide's career encompasses a variety of notable anime roles. Her first major leading role was as Hana Shirosaki in the 2019 series Wataten!: An Angel Flew Down to Me, a part she would reprise in the 2022 film Wataten!: An Angel Flew Down to Me: Precious Friends. In 2020, she was cast as Mai Inose in Asteroid in Love and began her long-running role as Emma Verde in the Love Live! franchise, first appearing in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. She has continued to voice Emma Verde in subsequent seasons, the Nijiyon Animation shorts, and the film Love Live! Nijigasaki Gakuen School Idol Dōkōkai Kanketsu-hen Dai-2-Shō. In 2022, she voiced the characters Futaba in Aharen-san wa Hakarenai and Luna in Beast Tamer. Her filmography also includes the role of Eve Kagayaki in Kiratto Pri☆Chan and, more recently, Ema Mizunami in the third season of Laid-Back Camp.

Beyond anime, Sashide is active in video games and other media. She voices North Flight in the popular game Uma Musume Pretty Derby and has roles in titles such as Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation as Tsukushi and the Key visual novel Stella of The End as Philia. She is also involved in the VR Idol Stars Project Hop Step Sing! as Niina Nijikawa. Her skills include jazz dance, tap dance, and playing the piano, talents she shares in an interview. She is known for her love of animals, particularly cats, and has a talent for mimicking realistic cat sounds. Her shy personality has been noted, as she has mentioned it can take her a long time to become comfortable with new people.

Sashide's work has been recognized with industry awards. In 2023, as a member of the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, she was part of the ensemble that received the Best Singing Award at the 17th Seiyu Awards. In the same year, her radio program, Maria Sashide no Sashidegamashii you desu ga, won the Best Comfort Radio Award at the 8th Aniraji Awards.
