Yumi Hara is a Japanese voice actress and former singer born on January 21, 1985, in Osaka Prefecture. She has been active in the voice acting industry since 2008 and is affiliated with the talent agency Arts Vision. Prior to her entertainment career, Hara worked as a postal clerk while taking acting courses in her spare time. She ultimately decided to pursue voice acting full-time and moved to Tokyo.
Hara's debut role was Takane Shijō in the video game The Idolmaster SP in 2008, a character she would continue to portray across numerous installments of the franchise, including the television anime, theatrical films, and original net animations. This role served as a significant foundation for her career. She is also widely recognized for her portrayal of Albedo in the Overlord series, a role she has played consistently across its multiple television seasons, films, and spin-off series such as Isekai Quartet. Another frequently voiced role is Aleksandra Ivanovna "Sasha" Pokryshkin in the Strike Witches franchise, appearing in various television series, films, and OVAs.
